Dance x Multimedia Work Helix by Yan Xiaoqiang

Choreographer Yan Xiaoqiang combines multimedia and innovative design to create a visionary performance where tradition and technology meet. With the artistry of outstanding dancers, the work unfolds a poetic dialogue of ‘yin and yang, reality and virtuality’. Inspired by the DNA double helix and the Tang dynasty mural Fuxi and Nüwa, the choreography is rooted in the spiralling dynamics of Chinese dance. It captures the essence of  ‘rhythmic vitality that spirals without end’ —to explore the origins and continuity of life, while metaphorically reflecting the inheritance and evolution of Chinese cultural genes. In a hyper-accelerated digital age, let’s enjoy an evocative theatre experience, where body and technology, spirit and science converge.
